Thanks to all who came to our 4th Open Day on Sunday. Great to see so many of you coming back to find out what we've been up to and to admire all the fabulous flowers in the garden. We never really know how many visitors to expect…… most challenging for Vicky, who provides the cream teas!
Rachel and I had been flat out during the morning trying to get it all ready because we also had a wedding that day. Still, it all got done and looked great in the end!
I did some wacky arrangements in vintage shoes and handbags. Rachel had grown a mass of richly coloured dahlias and Gladioli, so I thought they lent themselves well to something quite bold.
We are also working with singer Sam Brown on putting a shoe exhibition together for the Teenage Teenage Cancer Trust so I thought this was an opportunity to have a go at putting shoes and flowers together. Then I couldn't resist getting the odd handbag in there too!
We were very lucky with the weather and enjoyed plenty of sunshine to go with our cream teas!
