We have always been fans of the dahlia, and they were the first cut flowers Rachel grew nearly 20 years ago when they were still deeply unfashionable. Now that they are enjoying a much deserved renaissance in popularity, there are even more varieties to enjoy. Invaluable in the cutting garden for a riot of colour from mid-summer to the first frosts you will learn what to look for when selecting the best varieties for cutting, how to propagate your favourites, growing on and planting out, feeding and staking, picking and dead- heading and whether to lift or leave the tubers in the ground over winter.
Refreshments and a light lunch are included. Dahlia bunch and plants to take home.
