A cottage garden favourite with tall stems covered in billowing scented clouds in white and the palest mauve-pink mix. This early flowering biennial is sweetly scented, particularly in the evenings.

Growing tips: best sown in an outdoor nursery bed in June and transplanted to final position in September.

Harvesting/Arranging tips: pick when a third of the flowers on the stem are open. It makes a wonderful filler with tulips, alliums and bearded iris where it’s tall flowering stems can match the focal flowers in height.
