The Art of the Flat Lay with Eva Nemeth

In this world where Instagram is playing an ever-increasingly important role in showcasing your work or just things you like to photograph, who has not seen an eye-catching flat lay?

Flat lays are a wonderful way to visually tell a story in just one stunning image. The final result can sometimes be seen as a relatively simple and straightforward picture, but in reality it does require a little bit of conceptual thinking, planning and styling before you want to show your work to the world.

Eva Nemeth has created many flat lays on our flower farm, which began with our collaboration on the Cut Flower series in House & Garden throughout 2017.  She is inspired by the countryside and our flowers, plants, fruits and vegetables and her work has been published in many magazines.

After going through the basics, we will make a foray into the flower beds and select flowers and other material for your own flat-lays that you’ll be able to create with Eva’s guidance.

Boards will be provided to create your own masterpiece.  Don’t forget to bring your camera, phone or DSLR to record your work.
