Our new flower photography course offers flower growers and florists the unique opportunity to learn how to take better photographs of their work in a naturally flower-filled environment.
You will be spending the day with professional wedding photographer Clare West who is passionate about flower photography and spent the last year documenting the cutting gardens and styling shoots here at Green and Gorgeous. She has taught City & Guilds Photography courses as well as beginners classes.
Beautiful photographs that showcase your work at its best are now crucial to all growers and florists. Clare will run through the important settings on your camera, explain how they work and how they influence the photographs you take, with further advice given on equipment and camera accessories. Ideally you should have a DSLR camera or a decent bridge camera, to take full advantage of the day, but do email us with any enquiries beforehand.
Our beautiful gardens will provide plenty of inspiration on which to practice your new skills with guidance from Clare. Rachel will create a selection of Spring bouquets and centrepieces for you to style and shoot. You will be shown how best to position your floral displays and how to make the most of limited indoor light. More info can be found on Clare’s blog page here.
The day includes a comprehensive handout and a home cooked lunch and refreshments, using garden ingredients wherever possible.
